Various Cons

Lady Loki was sewn entirely from scratch using homemade patterns, including the pleather bodysuit, fur cape, etc. A lot of time was spent researching all of the pleather options for the bodysuit as we had a specific look in mind. We decided on a snakeskin pleather, which gave the suit a nice texture that matched Ven's reptilian coat lining. For the loincloth, we used real goat skin suede leather, which we thought was appropriate considering the horns and all.

The belt is made with a reptilian pleather as well. Armguards are made out of real leather - dyed and tooled by hand. Leather and pleather from head to toe.

The headpiece was made from sintra, craft foam and paperclay. It was made to be as light as possible; it weighs less than a pound! The staff is made out of sintra, wood and craft foam. Notches in the staff were made using burning techniques. Lastly, the baubles on the belt and in Lady Loki’s hair were made out resin that was cast from homemade molds.

For Loki, the staff and helmet are sintra and wonderflex. There centre of the staff is hollow and made from plastic plumbing pipe. There’s a light in the little bluegreen shell in at top of staff. For the helmet, we used a construction hat from a costume shoppe as the base. Then built it up with light clay and covered it in wonderflex. The horns have wire supports inside. The whole thing weighs about 1.5 kilos. Loki’s outfit is made from pleather, faux-suede fabrics.
